§ 2.102.150. General relief—Legal residence—Determination by department.

  • At the time of application for general relief, and at other times as deemed necessary by the department, but not less than once annually, the department shall determine, wherever possible, the legal residence of each applicant and recipient. Each applicant and recipient shall have the burden to demonstrate that such person is a legal resident of the county of Los Angeles when requested to do so by the department. If it is determined by the department that such person is not a legal resident of the county of Los Angeles, then such person may be eligible for general relief only as provided in Sections 2.102.210 and 2.102.220 of this chapter.
