§ 20.08.075. Service—For landscape areas.

Latest version.
  • For all landscaped areas, separate landscape water meters shall be installed for site irrigation except for resident installed landscaping or any project with a landscaped area as defined in Chapter 71 of Title 26 of the Los Angeles County Code less than 5,000 square feet. The water purveyor may be required to install more than one water meter for potable water on a lot or parcel and is prohibited from charging higher fees for such type of installation. The property owner has the option to install sub-meters to measure water consumed for irrigation on the site. In that case, the property owner must maintain the sub-meters to the same standards as required of a water purveyor as determined by the director of public works, and to provide the same information to the director of public works as required of a water purveyor in this chapter.
