§ 5.72.040. Uniforms—Issuance conditions generally.

  • Employees now or hereinafter employed in classifications specifically authorized by the board shall have issued to them on a one-time-only basis certain uniforms and equipment items required by their department head and approved by the board. Additionally, if specifically authorized by the board, such uniforms and equipment may be issued on a recurring basis or may be maintained by the county. The director of personnel shall periodically list such authorized classifications and approved items of uniform and equipment. When persons who have previously had issued to them such items pursuant to this section cease to be employed in a classification for which such uniforms and equipment are authorized, they may be required to return all or part of such uniforms and equipment.
