§ 2.38.050. Designation of employees as social workers.

Employees of the department of children and family services, shall be under the direction of the director and shall perform all activities necessary to provide protective services to juveniles. Designated department employees providing services to juveniles shall be deemed to be social workers in a county welfare department, pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 215 and 326. The department shall be deemed to be a county welfare department for providing services under the provisions of Welfare and Institutions Code Section 272.
