§ 5.04.100. Employee Relations Commission—Continued—Membership Qualifications.

    There is continued a Los Angeles County Employee Relations Commission, which shall implement and administer the provisions of this chapter.

    B.

    The Commission shall have three positions as provided in section 5.04.130. A member of the Commission shall be appointed to a vacant position by, and serve at the pleasure of, the Board of Supervisors, which shall be referred to in this chapter as the "Board." The members of the Commission shall have expertise in the field of employee relations, shall reside in Los Angeles County and shall possess the integrity and impartiality necessary to protect the public interest as well as the interest of the County and its employees. The Board, if it finds that the best interests of the County will be served, may waive the residency requirement for a period not to exceed one year.
