§ 2.04.040. Oath of office and performance bond.

  • Before any county officer, subordinate officer or deputy enters on the duties of his office, he shall take and subscribe the oath of office set forth in Section 3 of Article XX of the Constitution of this state, in the office of the clerk of the board and, when required by law or by the board, except as otherwise provided in Section 2.04.050, shall file with the clerk a bond for the faithful performance of the duties of his office in such penal sum and in such form as may be fixed by the board, and shall renew such bond either by filing a new bond or an additional bond when and as directed by the board.
