§ 17.12.260. Tents and other shelters—Permitted when.

  • Except as otherwise permitted by the Director with a license or otherwise, a person shall not erect, construct, build, create, maintain, use, or occupy on a beach any canopy, tent, lodge, shelter, or structure unless such canopy, tent, lodge, shelter, or structure shall be less than 10 feet by 10 feet and have two sides thereof entirely open, and unless there shall be an unobstructed view into such canopy, tent, lodge, shelter, or structure from the outside thereof on at least two sides thereof. Under no circumstance shall any canopy, tent, lodge, shelter, or structure be used as a dwelling place or for habitation, or be left overnight on any beach.
