Every dwelling unit in which food is prepared shall have in its kitchen a sink plumbed
with hot and cold running water. A kitchen shall be deemed to be that room in which
food is prepared for family use.

Every kitchen shall be separated from any room used for sleeping purposes by a full
partition, which may contain a doorway not more than four feet in width. Each such
doorway shall be provided with a door capable of diminishing the transmission of noises
or fumes to any adjacent room used for sleeping purposes.
