§ 6.08.230. Step advances after appointment.

Any person appointed to a permanent position in a management physician classification listed in subsection B of Section 6.08.210 shall be advanced one step within the applicable range for each year of continuous service until the top step is reached. Step advancement pursuant to this subsection C shall occur on the step advance anniversary date as defined in Section 6.08.270.

Notwithstanding subsection C of this section, any person for whom an "unsatisfactory" or "improvement needed" performance evaluation has been filed with the director of personnel shall not be granted a step advancement until a "competent" or better rating is filed.
