The commission shall have the authority to issue temporary taxicab operator and driver
licenses for any specified period of less than one year upon a showing of public convenience
and necessity. Application for temporary taxicab operator and driver licenses shall
be made no less than 30 days prior to the commencement of licensed operation.
B.
Prior to granting a temporary taxicab operator or driver license, all departmental
approvals required for annual taxicab operator or driver licenses shall be obtained
and the licensee shall pay the full annual license fee in the amounts set forth in Section 7.14.010, under the appropriate heading.
