§ 7.18.050. License—Grounds for denying issuance.

  • If the commission finds that the applicant for a license for a billiard room or billiard club is not of good moral character or is an unfit person to manage or conduct such establishment, or that by reason of the place where such establishment is to be located the conducting or carrying on thereof would be detrimental to the public health, the public order or the public morals, or any other ground of denial exists, it shall notify the tax collector not to issue the license until instructed to do so by it or by the license appeals board, and shall notify, in writing, the applicant of its action.
