§ 7.16.220. Ambulance—Inspection prerequisite to license issuance.

  • The director of the department of health services shall not issue any ambulance license for a ground ambulance until it has verified with the California Highway Patrol that the ambulance has been inspected and that it complies with all of the safety regulations of the State Department of Motor Vehicles and of the California Highway Patrol. The director of the department of health services shall be further assured that the ambulance meets all pertinent requirements imposed by this title before issuing a license for the vehicle.
