§ 82-9. Cancellation or Surrender of Permit

If no portion of the work or construction covered by a permit issued by the Chief Electrical Inspector under the provisions of this Code has been commenced, the person to whom such permit has been issued may deliver such permit to the Chief Electrical Inspector with the request that such permit be canceled. The Chief Electrical Inspector shall thereupon stamp or write on the face of such permit the words "Canceled at the request of the permittee." Thereupon such permit shall be void and of no effect.
