§ 103.4.2. Recordation.

  • If (1) the Building Official determines that any property, building, or structure, or any part thereof is in violation of any provision of this Code; and if (2) the Building Official gives written notice as specified below of said violation; then the Building Official may have sole discretion to, at any time thereafter, record with the County Recorder's Office a notice that the property and/or any building or structure located thereon is in violation of this Code.

    Following the recordation of the notice of violation, the Building Official is not required to conduct an inspection or review of the premises to determine the continued existence of the cited violation. It is the responsibility of the owner or other interested party to meet the requirements of this Code to remove the violation.
